Yea i already planned on changing the air filter. Thanks for the thought though. I think i have a cabin filter too, going to change that too if it needs it.

wish I had a cabin filter on my 95 and 97 SC2s---i wouldn't have to suck so much diesel smoke ridin up these hills out near Pittsburgh...

(by the time you see the smoke and lunge for recirc, it's just too late....)

I wonder if you could "rework" the intake air passage to incorporate one ???

Not to derail, but I hate the idiot smokers. I have a 05 Dodge at near 650hp and it hardly smokes at all.

indeed you get a more intense blow with recirc but then it gets stuffy after awhile and I just can't be bothered to open the window

The A/C in my ION is the best of any car I've owned and I've owned a lot of cars. I keep mine on recric most of the time. Well thats untill it gets to bloody cold. You do have a cabin air filter. Open glove box, empty glove box, squeeze side of glove box. Squeeze hard and it'll drop down. Flashlight look towards the top of the opening. You'll see a tab, pull tab, open door, and pull out filter noting what sides up.

Oil change when the car tells you unless you have no idea when the last change was, or when the system was reset. I run Mobil-1 and Saturn, Wix, or PurOlator filters.
