Default Ion Left signal problems

Hi guys. So I'm dealing with an issue with my blinkers. Any time I start the car and hit my left blinker it will illuminate once il hear a click down by the shifter then the left blinker both front and back won't come on again. The right blinker works fine. Also wen it does this the service vehicle message will pop up. I didn't think they where related at first but last night I started it and the blinkers worked fine for I little bit but stopped again right when the service message popped up. Could it be a bcm issue or should I start elsewhere?. Any info is much appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Swap the bulbs from left to right and see if that works. If not, then you know it's not a funky bulb. Check the sockets for rust or corrosion and bad ground connections. If it isn't one of those components, then someone else will have to give you advice. I'm NOT a mechanic or an electrician. Just telling you what I'd be checking. I would have said to check the relay but since the right one works, that pretty much rules that out.

Yep did that already. But I actually couldn't find a relay for the signals. I think it may be integrated in something else like the bcm. From what I know on the ions anyway... Not only that but the front one started working last night and the service vehicle message went away. But I'm still not getting voltage to the back left. I think I'ma have to trace the wires.

You should post what year and model your Saturn is. I have absolutely ZERO knowledge about Ions. I would think a relay would either be in the fuse box in the car or under the hood, but this IS a gm product.

Turn on the hazard lights and check all the bulbs. This takes the turn signal switch out of the loop. If all the bulbs flash as they should then the problem may be the turn signal switch. Scan the bcm and see if there are any codes.
