Default DO I have ABS?

2003 Saturn ION 2 automatic with 2.2 hamsters and 148,718 miles (February 2025)

I just flushed all new fluid through my brake system, presuming that this vehicle has ABS, but I am not sure....
A regular brake fluid flush is probably never a bad idea (every two years or so) but I have adopted the thinking that all modern vehicles have ABS and that old, moisture laden, corrosive fluid is detrimental to their continued airworthiness road-worthiness

When I got done and I was cleaning up and topping up the reservoir, I didn't really see an ABS module, rather perhaps a proportioning valve on the left side of the engine bay.

I also went looking for the power steering reservoir and I didn't see it either.

Does this car have ABS and Power Steering?
(I don't have a owners manual or I'd read up on it)

Use the VIN decoder on our site and see what it says. Can also try other VIN decoders. Can also turn the key to on without starting the car to check whether there is an ABS light that lights as part of the bulb check sequence.

Do you have sensors on your front wheel bearings? Easiest way to tell on abs.
and no, electric power steering on these

Thank you both for your replies.
After I made this post while having breakfast coffee first thing yesterday morning, later that day I did in fact view my indicator lights as I first installed turned the key. No ABS warning was observed.
I will look for the VIN decoder on this site, Thank you.

When I was under both the front and rear end at each brake, cracking the bleeder screws to flush fresh Dot 3, indeed, I did not look for ABS sensors...
I just AssUmeD that this vehicle was going to have all the modern accoutrements.
Now, Electric Power Steering... wow, that is a new one for me.
*I know of it, but this is the first vehicle in my care that actually has it (in my care as in ownership, not counting the ones I worked with at auto repair shop)

Cheers!

(I returned the car to my stepdaughter last night, tired of her wearing her mom (and all of her neighbors) wearing everyone out for a ride BECAUSE she is too proud to take the bus that has a stop on US Hwy1 not 75 feet from her front door. She could take bus form there to Miami or north to Orlando *transfers not included)
