Default 2004 Control arms

I'm getting a vibration from the front end at around 55mph. It feels like the control arm bushes are worn. Is it better to replace the whole arm or just the bushing? Also, are there upper and lower control arms or just lower? I can't see any above the lower so guess that's all there are.

sure it's not a tire balancing problem? Suggest doing a quick swap backs to fronts and see if there's a difference. Also is tread wear pattern even or is there off center wear, which could indicate alignment issues among other causes.

Hi Derf. The tyres were replaced in January, there are all-weather tyres on the front and standard on the rear. They seem to be wearing evenly. Also, the fact that the rear bushes both wore so badly makes me think it's a control arm issue.

I'll try swapping them round as you suggest though.

Can't hurt, plus it's free and removes one more variable
