Lol I have been wanting to make a GoPro mount so I can take videos of good driving roads but it’s been way way down the list of stuff to do...

Default New head unit!

So the radio in my car died the other day, and it’s been crap the whole time it’s been in there, so I decided to swap it out...

the old one one was a Dual XDVD256BT, off brand and lots of (poorly executed) features, new one was a Kenwood DPX540BT, with less features on paper but better execution of them. It took me about 90 min to swap them and an additional 10 to hide the wire to the new microphone but the install was easy enough... I’ll update the post with pics when I have a better data connection...

Default So much has changed

I haven’t updated this thread since 2019, wow! There’s so much to share, it’s an entirely different car now, compared to how it was before, not even the same color anymore

Default Progress from 2020

I’m gonna start the updates with 2020, right after I stopped using the car commercially. Almost immediately I took off the side mirrors and worked to swap the nose from my old Redline onto it. I also traded the steel wheels for a set of alloys from an S series, with fabricated smooth covers that bolted on. Same tire/wheel size as before so not much mileage improvement but it did help handling and acceleration. I also ended up kicking off what became a relentless quest to shed weight, starting with the carpet, and working to drill holes in every single piece of plastic in the interior
