Don't know an Astra from an astral plane, But I reckon there is a level check hole near the top of the case on the side.

The transmission must be up to operating temperature for the level to be determined properly. The vehicle also must be level.

The transmission is properly filled when, at operating temperature, you remove that bolt and liquid is just weeping out of the hole. Add more fluid if necessary to make it so, then replace the bolt and get on with your life

Charm.li says the inspection plug is just below and behind the driver’s side axle. The fill location is through the reverse light switch hole on the front of the transmission. You might be able to remove the oil with a suction gun or drop the pan. Hold 1.6L of a GM spec oil.

Try charm.li and look up your car. You have to open up the menus to find what you need.
