hey there everyone... i have a 93 saturn sc2 and im having a few problems... im getting some black smoke comming out of my exhaust, but the thing is is that my car is sort of a "summer" car if u wanna call it that, and i havent really driven it during winter exept certain time when id start it up every week or so but yeah i turned it on today and it was puffing black smoke when id give it gas and it doesnt have any *****... i put the foot to the floor and its like running with like 30 less horse :S so yeah if anyone can like let me know what it could be that would be great thanks.

 

If it is BLACK smoke and not dark blue smoke the car is running rich. Rich as in to much gas. After it does that for a bit it fouls the plugs. You need to find out why it is running rich before you put new plugs in and foul them also. If your temp sensor has gone bad. If your temp sensor is weeping. If your temp sensor connection is corroded. That will cause the car to run rich. If you have no idea what I'm talking about take it to the dealer have it fixed and be done with it.
