Saturn mechanic in New York area
Hi, I'm looking for a mechanic who used to fix Saturns at the showrooms' repair shop who left after they went out of business. Or, someone who YOU use for repairs. I have a Saturn L200. My mechanic retired and I didn't like the people who took over his business. Thanks Also, what happened to the Saturnfans.com? thanks
The majority of mechanics will not touch Saturns because accessing parts for them has become very difficult. This is not true for all parts for all models, but it is true enough that many mechanics choose not to work on them.
Thank you for the replies. If anyone has a personal mechanic in the New York City area (like Manhattan or Queens) that does work on their Saturn, I would appreciate the pointer. And yes, I am aware that there is a shortage on Saturn parts now. Many discount online auto sellers advertise Saturn parts less and less. these days My Saturn is reaching the 100,000 mile mark. Any suggestion on maintenance at this point? Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks
Hi there L200fan, this is a bit late but you might try J & S Auto repair, they are located at 997 Broadway, Bayonne New Jersey. https://www.facebook.com/people/J-S-...0063590979933/ It's run by Jim Marotta, I've never used him personally but he has a great youtube auto repair channel that I watch from time to time: https://www.youtube.com/@jimthecarguy/featured
