Guys, I apologize for my absence, as my life has been turned completely upside down... Starting on 01/27, I've begun the painful process of separating/divorcing my wife... It's been extremely messy, and until last week, I've been essentially homeless. I've been struggling with depression, and bouts of regret/resentment, but I'm finally stable enough to begin trying to move forward... I know hard divorces can be. Been there, done that 2X.

 

It sucks... From time to time I want her back but I've already begged/pleaded and she doesn't want to try again, despite both of us admitting to making some big mistakes near the end

 

Im sorry to hear that. Everything will become etter over time, as it did with my parents.

 

Figured id update this one...

Had my divorce hearing on 5/10, all went well, actually way better than expected, the judge didn't force any division of assets that hasn't already occurred, he ordered her to get my name off her car loan, and it's (almost) all over... No alimony was assigned for me to pay, and my child support obligation is only 20% over what I was already volunteering to her... Couldn't ask for better, IMO

Once the papers come in the mail, I'll be officially divorced; no more hearings or anything

EDIT: It seems that as the hard feelings are fading, I'm getting along better with my ex. It doesn't mean I'm gonna take her back or try again to be with her as a couple, but I may have gotten a friend back where years of bad marriage had obscured our friendship
