Hence the tank like resilience it displayed in the accident, reminiscent of the older Buicks and such?

Think 63 Bonneville. This as the old saying goes “ the guy with the most lug nuts wins “ this has 24 lug nuts, this the the SUV version of the F150. My wiring harness repair ends arrive today, so it should be on the road tomorrow. It is that close.

Road test today! Good highway manners, trans is good, drives well, engine pulls well. It is going to be a nice car. Does not want to idle yet, the computer needs to relearn everything. CEL is on so that will be the next thing to look at tomorrow.😀

Congratulations on the success, Andy. I'm sure you'll solve that CEL in short order.

99% good, found the lean idle, someone forgot a 3/8” vacuum line.🤦 30 miles and swapped insurance. Driver’s door panel repair with a couple good used switches, trim panels and inside handle with better chrome. The only remnant is the roll stability control light is on.

Perhaps the Navi was hoping that CEL would make you change your mind about not letting it retire. I sometimes think that's what my Crown Vic is trying to do........

Swerve it from side to side several times (maybe in a field) and see if it works or not. Just kidding. Maybe it has to go through so many drive cycles to adapt?

Stopping by my former work Saturday and borrowing the factory Ford diagnostic tool to reprogram the ABS module. Roll stability control is a function of several modules with the ABS as the leader of the pack. After restoring the air ride system this should be the last thing. The oxygen sensors are still sorting themselves out. I have several more if one of these are bad, getting good data but flipped the light on again.

Ahhhh, one of the perks of leaving in good standing, Andy. I sure hope to hear that takes care of it and you get that "tank" back on the road.
