End of another era

One of my dream builds is getting a 2wd Commanche and stuffing a 5.7 Hemi in it with a T-56. I've seen the LSx swaps; but I would rather keep a Mopar in there. But that is just a pipe dream at this point. Can't imagine what the going price for one of those is nowadays.

We had a 2014 grand cherokee roll in a little while ago. 194,000 miles. 5.7 hemi. They wanted 16k for it.
I told our sales manager I'll just go to jeep and get stuck it dry on something new for the same payment.

Going to look at a 98 xj tonight.
ad says 4.0 4wd. He said its 2wd. Im not sure he knows what he has.
$800 and needs an injector service. Clean title (I specify that because 80% of the cars I look at dont have titles for some odd reason)
Stock besides the cat being cut off. So a good platform for me to build a work rig.
which is exactly my plans. Tune up. Diff and trans service. Trans cooler. And make it earns its keep starting to haul scrap immediately. As long as all checks out. Modding XJs are cheap too. So I'll do some jeep stuff later on

Yeah, I don't know how many cars I've looked at and discovered there's no title available. Or I hear that once I pay them, they'll get the title released. HELL NO. You can't give me a clean title, you keep that vehicle. I don't play that game.

No emissions here. Unless the straight 6 sounds bad straight piped, I'll leave it alone.
planning on an Italian tune up as soon as I leave to get me home if I buy it.
I wouldn't buy a car to daily without a title.
But I mean. There's always red flags I look for if buying a parts car without one.
My chassis scrapper doesnt require them either.
But same thing.
