Smile New Saturn Owner

Hello! I just rescued a 1997 Saturn SC2 that is in need of some TLC. I am very excited to learn all about my car and look forward to making it my own.

I have very little to no previous experience working on cars so if anyone knows any secrets or tips, feel free to share.

Welcome!

I too own a 97 SC2, 253K, rebuilt engine.
These cars last if maintained.

Please start posting your requests in the S coupe section and we will help as much as we can.

If you just got a hold of the keys (new to you), check the oil daily for the first week to ensure you are not burning or leaking a mess of oil. Once you figure out if and how much it uses oil, then you can scale back the paranoia-frequency checks.....

Welcome to the forum. The DOHC is a known oil user, so just make sure to check it regularly. Fun little cars.
