Default new 2009 Saturn Outlook XR owner

Greetings all,

I recently bought a 2009 Saturn Outlook XR for my wife.
I've driven it a few times and found it to be quite nice and comfortable.
She likes it a lot as well. I discovered that these vehicles are basically the same thing as the GMC Acadia, but for some reason, used ones can be bought for a few thousand dollars less than the GMC in similar condition with similar mileage.

Somehow, she already managed to break the plastic chrome trim on the rear hatch above the license plate. This is the wide piece that has a Saturn emblem in it and it holds the lights above the license plate. I posted a wanted ad in that section of this forum for a replacement. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Does the body have to be lifted off the frame in order to replace the timing belt on that one? Seems like I heard or read something like that having to be done on the Arcadias. IDK.

The information I have indicates that the Saturn Outlook uses a timing chain, not a timing belt. I hope so, because I intend to never own a car with a timing belt.

There was a recall in 2007 for reprogramming the engine control module to reduce premature timing chain wear. I would assume that problem was fixed by 2009.
