I'm newly retired construction supervisor set up road construction work zones and dealt with contractors and state inspectors. 62 yr woman with 6 tool boxes and time to work on my 2002 saturn vue awd 3.0l 24v automatic v6 which I love but it doesn't always love me ! In process of trying to find out where tranny filter is , took pan cover off and no filter . Someone said I might have to pull tranny to change filter , I said several cuss words and said I didn't really want to go there ! Yesterday was brakes and pulling tranny pan today I'm not sure because I was replacing coils and plugs but will have to figure tranny out first. Anyway I live in central point Oregon and love cars , rafting and fishing .

Welcome to the forum. I know absolutely NOTHING about Vues, having never owned one. BUT, as we're getting more and more new members due to the collapse of another popular saturn forum, you may just get the help you need. I know on my SC's the transmission filter was actually a screw on type like the oil filters. I DON'T think the V-6 had that feature, but ya never know unless you ask! I found this video on youtube and it appears that it IS under the oil pan and an easy one to change. Have fun with it! Here ya go.

Please don't put your tranny pan down in the grass.
But you already know that. Lol

We seldom have female members that are regulars on the forum. Six boxes of tools sounds like someone who knows what they're doing or has dementia or is a hoarder. We don't care which one it isn't.

Welcome to the forum. Please message me directly if any of the peanut gallery gets out of line. Although I sense you could probably take them anyway.

She loves cars, rafting and fishing. Too bad we didn't meet up 40 years ago! I'm sure she'll be just fine, derf. She likes working on cars and that's going to fit in with most of us here, I THINK!

I'm not at all concerned with her fitting in. That's a done deal.

I'm concerned with all of you dirty old men getting fresh.
Actually I'm not really concerned at all, just wanted to grandstand. Moment is over. Nothing to see here go back to your homes.....

Already back in the house with the a/c on. It's frigging HOT outside. I actually feel sorry for my son since he's delivering mail for the USPS.
