Default I'm New and sort of in a bind 03 saturn ion 2

Accidently pulled a fuse while car was running so the engine died when I put it back. I tried to turn the key but it won't crank or start. The battery is good and the last owner changed the starter. I tried to check the ignition switch but it's stubborn would not open to let me see if needed replacing. I put it back and decide to see about just getting a new one but a new problem comes up. The key is stuck in ignition cant turn it or take it out, tried to use the small trapdoor to pop it out doesn't work, tried to pop the lock cyclinder out still won't come out. Is there any other way to get the key and cyclinder out, so I can try to get it running again? Closest saturn dealer is 7hrs away and trying to make that my last option.

You pressed the button in the trap door and it didn't work?
sounds like the spring mechanism internally broke.
do you have dash lights or anything?
Security light flashing?

You might try lightly tapping it with a hammer while turning it.

I would check all the fuses sometimes they cascade with a voltage spike and others blow.

Spring was jammed got it undone now i have the key back but igntion won't turn all the way. I plan to check my fuses to see if the voltage spike happened.

Chances are if you had a spring jammed, the ignition cylinder was probably misaligned relative to the ignition switch -- therefore no contact --> no cranking
I assume you'll be replacing the ignition cyl -- may want to do the switch depending on how it looks and where the spring was jammed.
