Default Hi from a newbie

Well we just became the owners of our second Saturn. I had a 96 SL2 for many years that I really liked and was trouble free. That was sold and replaced by a truck unfortunately. I really miss that car with gas at almost $4. As of last weekend we now own a 92 SL2. Unfortunately it was purchased by my wife and 18 yr old daughter while I was away on business. We got took badly. It's had a rough life so my next journey is to resurrect it. Main issues are a terrible vibration/hum above 45mph and especially turning right and the automatic seatbelts aren't working at all. This is going to be a long journey but I'll do anything for my girl. Wish me luck.

Not being a mechanic, it sounds to me like the hum/vibration could quite possibly be a faulty half-shaft, or axle if you prefer. Can't help you on the seatbelts. I've always hated the automatic ones.

I'd hate to say it but the automatic seat belts are going to be pretty much a write off. I have yet to hear of anyone who actually got them working once they fail. The mechanics to make them work are incredibly complex and buried to any normal access.
