It's a common problem apparently. My 94 SL has a bad sending unit, so the gas gauge doesn't work. I needed to fix it to keep track of the mileage.

Haha, yes sir. The original motor took a dump and I replaced the whole assembly from a junk yard for 35 bucks. I'm back in business.
