Default Hello!

Hello all!
Picked up a 98 SW2. I've had to put a bit of work into her (Had low voltage issue with alternator, new motor mounts, coils, EGR Valve, coolant sensor)
Now she runs like she just came out of the showroom.
Damn, this is a GREAT car! Wish I had bought one new when I could have!

Welcome.

Fun to drive.
No one gets it till they get one.

It's 120ish HP that pulls off the line, and gets you up to speed just as traffic passes you in the other lanes.
How many miles? 5spd? color? Folded business card betw cluster bezel and trim?
What brand of shayt aftermarket mounts did you use?

greetings, I am having trouble navigating,,, hope this message gets a positive reply. I want to communicate, and don't know how. I am told I need a new brake backing plate for a 2002 SL1, and they seem totally unavailable. (The car is running fine, but WV requires an inspection,,, and perhaps it would be a good idea,,, :-). Does ANYONE know of a somewhat similar part that can be made to work?

I'll take a look at my yard for you. Rear disc I assume? That may be a tricky one

As long as the brakes function properly they shouldn't look much deeper, besides pulling the observation plug to measure the shoe thickness.

Non issue in my opinion. Esp in WV.
If you put new drums n shoes on for inspection, no one will likely go near it. Like I said, as long as brakes function properly, shouldn't matter
