as my title suggests I am looking for information about the 1.9 DOHC engine found in our lovely saturns.

some things I want to know are as follows

how complicated are the cars electronics and how sensitive to modifications is the computer?

how long are the axels

how complicated would it be to run a custom ECU on this engine such as a MEGASQUIRT or a program that is similar?

 

No one has ever hacked the PCM in the S cars. Cannot tune the factory PCM.

Anything performance related requires a standalone controller. Except bigger throttle body, headers higher flow exhaust, and more aggressive cams.

Including the most popular upgrade a turbo w larger injectors.

If you do a turbo, weld the differential pin.

CV half axle lengths see RockAuto.com. They changed the number of splines throughout the years so make sure you spec out the correct ones.
