I have replaced only the main chain kit before. I replace the boots also when tuning a coil on plug car.

there are quite a few kits on Rockauto.com as well, though no AC Delco OEM orig kit

Have to be careful you don't get a pre 2003 kit (I believe) as it was redesigned, and then I think it was redesigned again. That's part of the problem with aftermarket stuff to address issues like this. What was it modeled on?

Actually the same thing could happen with GM parts buried in a warehouse though if they were smart they chucked all the problem children
