Default ECOTEC 2.2 Tune Up

So I'm in the process of buying a 2004 Saturn Vue with the 2.2 ECOTEC motor.

I was figuring on changing out the plugs and wires and wanted to know what else I should look at while under the hood?

New plugs(no wires though), and change the coil pack ONLY IF NEEDED... New air filter, oil change, and maybe o2 sensors... Please tell us it's not a CVT equipped VUE...

Those never tend to last too long... I wonder if a 4T45E could be swapped into a VUE? The VUE and L series share some parts, maybe the trans could be swapped in...

Sorry folks but this one has a 5-speed trans.
No CVT anywhere near it.

Thanks for the tips about the tune-up.
I've never had one of these motors and I would rather not guess at what may be required.

Basically the normal maintenance. Plugs, oil, air filter, fuel filter, and you should be good.

Apologies Radar --- I didn't take the time to look back at the 1st post.

Which is why we have signatures which include such information so backtracking is not needed.

Obviously still my bad.

Could you please config a signature like mine?

First name / Location (State)
Year Model Engine Tranny (M/T A/T / CVT) approx mileage for Sattys
Similar kinda info for other rides (if you wish to list 'em)

Thanks

Once again, sorry -- I've cleaned up my inaccuracy.
Also better to let OWNERS answer questions about their own rides.
That, and I need to stop sniffing glue while I'm posting.....

Sorry Derf,

I forgot to say no harm no foul.

Now as to a timing chain kit.
I did a little searching on Amazon and found a couple of different choices.

One was Cloyes 9-4201S Multi-Piece Timing Kit @ $115.00

The 2nd was
Diamond Power GM 2.0 2.2 DOHC Ecotec Engine Timing Chain Kit w/ Balance Shaft @ $234.00

Okay so now a note popped up saying that this particular kit does not fit my Vue.

So considering I didn't find the GM kit with my first Google search can I get some opinions here?
not sure if the balance shaft is something that really needs to be replaced.
