So I have a saturn sl2 2001, and the location to where the check engine light is the lights are out, would I have to purchase a whole cluster or do they sell the replacement lights for check engine and etc?

Get them from you local GM (chevy) dealer servicing Saturn's. You can find out who they are by making a few phone calls. You local Chevy dealers are listed in the phone book, or even on-line.

From what I know............bullchit.

Try
www.saturnparts.net
www.saturnparts.com
www.rockauto.com

Saturn Part number for the Odometer (#21019273).
Chevy Part Number (#22695949).

"You can also opt to replace the bulbs with aftermarket LEDs. LEDs (light emitting diodes) are more durable than incandescent bulbs, and should last the life of the car. The downside is that it's a more involved process to install them, and since the light from an LED is directional, the brightness of your gauges will be a little uneven.

The most popular source for replacement bulbs is http://www.superbrightleds.com. Their part number B8.5D-W is a direct fit replacement for the factory bulbs, and cost $1.60 each. Note that the -W (white) LEDs have a bluish tint to them, not the amber tint of an incandescent bulb. I also suggest you buy a few extras, in case you damage any during installation. "

With statements like that, it's no wonder people distrust car dealerships

I agree, what a load of crap. I can't begin to think how expensive an entire cluster is.
