I have a 96 SW1 SOHC. Automatic Tranny went bad (nice hole in the side). I picked up a automatic transmission out of a 94 SL1 w/a SOHC. put it in and now it shifts funny and then wont come out of first.....of course the SES light is on. I have read somewhere about the need to have the ECU flashed to compensate for the gear ratio? Or can I take the control module out of my 96 bad transmission and put in this 94 good transmission and it be fixed? Can someone shed some light...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE....
