I have a 2000 sc2 that has a blown engine that I am going to swap out. How difficult is it to go from dohc to sohc? The sohc are cheaper/much easier to find.

 

You''ll need:

- 1995-2002 SOHC engine
- MP2 manual transmission or MP6 automatic (year specific)
- Exhaust manifold
- Exhaust down pipe
- Intake manifold
- Fuel rail
- Injectors
- Throttle cable
- A/C brackets
- P/S bracket
- 2002 SOHC PCM
- BCM from the same doner vehicle as the PCM
- Instrument cluster


Keep in mind that SOHC heads are know to crack when poorly maintained. So you might be buying yourself a whole other set of problems.
