I dont have any gauges to check pressure on ether side.

Get some or take your vehicle to Saturn to find the leak and the cause of your A/C problems.

Have you followed the code 26 troubleshooting chart all the way through?

did you buy the A/C gauges yet?
did you finish the code 26 troubleshooting tree I posted?

I am going to pay someone to look at the ac ,and yes I went threw the list ,still code 26?

take it to a saturn dealer and get both handled at the same time....

they know your car better than anyone

just request a seasoned tech who has been there since the 90's and knows the 1st gen S cars..........

car running well light not going on at stop any more ,the funny thing ,notning was done to it?
