Turn over but will not crank.
Ok, be easy with me.
I have a 2000 SL1 with the 1.9 4cylinder sohc.
I recently decided to replace the valve guide seals.
I removed the valve cover. I removed the front (exhaust) rocker assembly. I them pulled the plug out of cylinder 1and used a pull handle to turn the crank to adjust the piston to TDC. I have never replaced seals before and had an after thought to just let it be and take it to someone else. I replaced the rocker assembly, and plug. Now the car will not start. It will turn over and I have fire on all plugs but no combustion in the cylinder. And yes it was running before. I drove it into my shop. I just had to push it out. Lol

They do have hydraulic lifters. If all the plug wires are hooked up correctly, I would check to make sure you have compression. Not necessarily doing a compression test, but listen to the starter as you crank it. Does it sound like it is going through the compression stroke, or does it sound like it is turning with no resistance, hence no compression. Making sure the valves are working as they should. If the valves aren't moving you won't get air/fuel into the combustion chamber.

Got it.
I have a friend that used to build race motors for me come over and look at it. It was nothing more than I needed to remove all the lifters and bleed the oil out. she fired right up. Took 10 minutes to fix. Thank you all for taking the time to help.
