I have a 93 saturn sc2 auto.* I haven't driven it in about 8 months.* I recharged the battery and drove it to a car wash to clean it up to sell.* Halfway there, I was driving at about 30mph and the engine died, no stuttering or anything, just shut down.* Now I can't start it again.* It's a brand new battery with clean posts and cables.* It cranks with plenty of power to start, but just never starts up, just turns over.
I pulled a spark plug and the plug and plug socket had oil on them.* Like there is just a pool of oil in the spark plug hole.* From that, I think it might be a valve cover seal.
I turned the key to the on position and put my ear to the back seat and it's silent.* No fuel pump whining.
So what does everyone here think the problem might be?* I should be able to here the pump right?*
Also, how do I get to the fuel pump, and where is the fuel filter located?* Thanks a lot for any help.
