Default S series fourteens on an ION? Yes, it works...

So, I traded wheels with my neighbor, he needed tires badly, my SL1 isn't going anywhere, you get where I'm going... The wheels from my car went on an 04 ION 3, and his sixteen on his are going on my S-car... But the fourteens did fit... Just barely(offset difference reduced caliper clearance to perhaps 2mm), but they fit...

Just figured I'd share... I'll post a pic if I can get it...

I personally don't like the s wheels on the ions, but I think the ion wheels look good on the s cars. just my 2 cents.

I agree, but the steel wheels didn't look bad, and they fit, despite everybody around us insisting otherwise...

And he wasn't after looks at any rate... The tires on the s series wheels were new... His sixteens were shot...

So, I figured I would update this...

I found out later, that either he thought the wheels were rubbing the caliper, or they were slightly(it didn't look that way when we mounted them), and he used washers to space out the wheel and broke the wheel studs in the process... Some people, lol...

Either way, the S series wheels(14"), may or may not fit an ION... Try at your own risk...
