Default Tunes in the Vue - Stock CD is pretty good!

Recently took delivery of an '03 Vue and going to tear into her this weekend.
So far, I hafta say I'm pretty impressed with the stock sound quality!

Once I have confidence the mechanicals are properly sorted, I'm thinking to replace the stock CD head unit with an aftermarket DIN (or double din?) location which would include NAV touchscreen and phone/bluetooth support.

Anyone have comments/experience of doing up their Vue or other stock Saturn radio?

So no music? Or will that be included in the touchscreen thingy?

If you put $$ into it, just label the front windows CVT and no one should steal it

(sorry, that one was too easy)......by the way, all such comments are in good fun. We are definitely not PC or stuffy around here, as you'll see when other people wake up after we go to bed...downright mean and abusive behavior is not tolerated. But we take pot shots at each other day n night when no one's satty is broken.

It's all good

Fix everything that needs to be fixed.
Find a Vue Redline, swap body panels so you have that clean but mean look.
Then fill the back with speakers, and rock that double din. But make sure you go for clarity. No one likes to much bass.
Also, lowered with either the Vue RL wheels or aftermarket wheels. Go all custom audio with a nice bit of show to it.

LMAO

The frames seem a bit different to me. Might be some gaps.
Dead on about clarity -- I like my music crisp ---not tinny but crisp. And crisp bass. Not the kind that vibrates the rear differential casing --- the kind you think you're hearing, but you're actually feeling in your sternum -- oh wait--and you ARE hearing it too....

I want a Vue RL...but that Honda motor....Just no.
Ill put the body panels on a 2.2, swap some recaros in, supercharge it, and do some clean audio before I work with that Honda motor.

Oh, audio, right.
Exactly. Crisp and clean is where it SHOULD be.

Funny replies guys - thanks.

Definitely not modding the hell outta this car. Once I know it's not doomed by the VTi, I'll change the stereo only to get bluetooth phone functions and Nav - then maybe an amp with swap fresh speakers into the factory locations, but that's it. The single DIN (maybe double with the open bin below) size provides lots of options.

I enjoy a clean sound but also the ability to carry my own playlists of high quality MP3s and FLAC files, or tap the Sirius satellites when I want to let someone else make the choices.

Don't know if the VTi really spells the mark of death but I do like that this isn't likely to be a vehicle that's going to get messed with. Most people are pretty careless around cars, so hoping the plastic panels stay will keep the car fresh and undimpled.
