You know, I don't remember if they're is a cigarette lighter adapter in the carrying case. That may very well be the issue. I'll check when I get home. Thank you very much

Also, I didn't know there was an ALDL to USB adapter cable that existed. I was just reading codes and displaying real-time data on the device itself. Which for what I was doing at the time was enough. But it sure would be convenient to be able to log it to PC. Thank you again

@redview ,

THANK YOU for the priceless info about the cigarette lighter adapter being REQUIRED in order for the tool to function in 94 and 95 on GM vehicles.

Located an appropriate 12 volt cigarette lighter cord on eBay and it is on its way.

I never came across that in the manual because the manual is not with the tool. It's probably with the missing lighter adapter, as I know I have seen both in the past and I have used this tool with my '95 SC2.

So you have saved me who knows how many dollars on purchasing anything else to read basic information from my 95 coupe.

Thank you.

No problem! I do hope that it ends up working for you. Since my last post in this thread, I have discovered that Princess Auto does in fact still sell that Actron reader, so if you do decide you want to buy one you can pick one up new from here: https://www.princessauto.com/en/obdi...t/PA0009242140 . On sale now apparently too - since you are US based it would be even cheaper for you as the US-Canada exhange rate is quite favourable at the moment.

Princess Auto is Canada's version of Harbor Frieght. I was told they do ship to US addresses, but you would have to call them about it.
