I beg to differ, cleanin out my laptop for the first year of college, I found pictures of my car from one year ago, before I got it, before anything was done to it, I thought it was interesting with everything ive done to the car.

On the other hand, I took ,my car to the so called "Authorized Saturn Service" center at the chevy dealer down the street to get my PCM reflashed (to kill the check eng. light cause of the swap) And the computer wouldnt take it, Whats my best bet, find a computer to match my car, or find a 99 DOHC manual computer and try to get it reflashed, or drive another 20 min to the next closest one?
Kinda pissed that I have the bitch year since i cant grab a newer PCM (according to sat. wiki) and I dont think I can use and older one cause of the air pump. (please prove me wrong if you want though lol)

Here, bone stock, a full 15,000 miles ago.

So Ive come to the decision. The other day I blew an upper radiator hose (which was not a huge problem, just a mess) and I decided Im going to hold off on rebuilding the engine in the SL2 and get a new DD, and use the SL2 as a project car.
I have my sights set on an Ion Redline, but this would be roughly around next year, so hopefully I will be able to find one then.

Although, I do plan on keeping the SL2 as long as i possibly can

You'll love the Redline .......... just keep your foot out of it so you don't have to do any jail time.

My Saturn dealer was cool enough to let me test drive the last one on their lot...only had straight line 4 lane with traffic lights and a few curvy roads ---but I did enjoy putting my foot into it.

Shame the whole Saturn thing was such a blunder at that point

Cool to hear.

So i took the car to Englishtown last night for test and tune, and... I did terrible. 16.89 was my best 1/4, I had some bad r/t also. It was my first time ever racing on track though so I had my fun. Next time I go i should have the new motor mounts in and hopefully have the car running better.

Its been burning oil, that was nothing new, however now it is starting to burn alot more. Last night before I went to the track the engine was 3/4 full of oil, when I checked it at school today, it was just above the add line. Luckily I always keep 2 quarts of oil with me at all times. So doing the 20 miles to the track, 3 runs, 20 miles home (drove it hard on a stretch of rt. 18 though) , and to school ate most of my oil. I remember reading in other areas on the forum it could be rings, valve guides, or seals.
One of the most noticeable things is that if I let the car idle for a min or two, and then press the gas, I leave everyone in a nice cloud of blue smoke. And on acceleration sometimes and most of the time at full throttle, there is a small trail coming out (only visible outside the car)
as far as I know, the car has never been run dry (although I have never looked under the cam cover or did any investigation on the engine.) It has run low once, but I caught it as soon as the oil light flashed on when hitting the brakes
I used some lucas heavy duty oil additive, that slowed it, for awhile.
Im just trying to narrow down what it is or what Ill have to do to fix it.

Haha I know. The first thing I said was a stock one could probably beat me. I'm rather happy that I got on the track though.I saw today putting in HIDs that the gasket that goes between the downpipe to the header had failed, so I think im losing back pressure there cause it feels like its missing something. I shouldve replaced it after the trans swap but I threw more RTV on it and just prayed. Ill call OBX tomorrow for that.

Oh, that oil burning was a bit exaggerated. it did burn at least a qt doing all that the other day.
And now, I can see at night.
