Vue serp belt ? S
New member here,
Been looking for a Saturn Vue for quite a while..XR model if possible. They seem to have a great reliability record,,,very little issues...So finally found one, a 2009 XR w/ 43K $8300...OTD at a local dealership that sold Saturns at one time.
Of course, mine immediately had problems...leaking PS line...and now the ubiquitous HVAC module problem....other wise I love the vehicle...but my faith is a bit 'shooken' at the moment..

I believe the 2nd gen design had some inherent design and or "execution" flaws (having owned one). Most don't show up until 75-100 K or more ( the OP of course has to skew the statistics jk) . So many of the 2n gen Vues are reaching that 100K mark where these things start to show up.
I find it so comical that people ran out and bought the Chevy Captiva in droves when it was introduced. Had no clue they were buying a three year old design rebadged Saturn.
Also had no idea GM had not addressed most of its known issues. I'm sure by now some of it is sorted out (like the 6T70/75 waveplate issue has been corrected in manufacturing).
But the owners of the original 2008 and 2009 Vues, if your tranny didn't have the waveplate issue yet, it better hurry up. I know it was up to 100K but can't remember how many years. Ext coverage may already be gone.
As for the HVAC stuff--didn't know about it as I don't surf the other Saturn boards much anymore. Wouldn't be surprised if it is systemic bad HVAC head.
