thumpimg noise from rear end
hi I have thumping noise coming from the rear end on my 2004 Saturn vue awd I put on my lift put in drive all wheel turn when giving it gas when I let go of gas the left rear tire stops and goes the opposite direction in reverse does not seem normal any ideas

when is it thumping? All the time? Rough roads?
Is it speed or RPM dependent? Is it rhythmic or intermittent?
Also, remember that w abs and whatever form of traction control is on the vehicle, it may be mistaking a difference in wheel speed as a loss of traction.
Someone else who actually understands AWD and differentials should be able to help you.
Because beyond the above starter questions, I unfortunately don't know squat about AWD and differentials, transfer cases, and such. Sorry.
