Reduced power P0223 help
Okay so looking for advice. I have a ‘03 V6 AWD that I bought as a project car. It certainly has fulfilled my expectations on that end. LOL. But I am battling an odd problem and I’m looking for suggestions. It keeps going into reduced power mode and I get a P0223 code for the 2nd TPS sensor. In the past I was chasing a stalling issue where I replaced the throttle for a P2176 but it ended up being the ECU. Car was running fine and then I get the P0223 and it won’t rev over 3k. But sometimes when you cycle the key or end a drive cycle and start a new one it is fine and runs like a champ. So I’m thinking either the used ECU had this issue and it’s just now showing up or the throttle is the problem (also used). Before I commit to buying a reman part and not just some thing from the scrapyard, like to get your input. I’ve checked the wiring on the left side kick panel and the only wire that was bad was for the blower motor that has already been bypassed. Yes I know the 3.0 is junk, but for everything I’ve done, I’d like to see it run without issue. Then I can I can tackle my oil leaks. LOL thanks in advance

Pull the loom back off the ecu and look for breakage in the wire. Brown wire iirc.
dont remember that exact code but it could also be the pedal itself. Ive ran into that issue.
if ita the pedal I have a couple of em laying around id sell cheap. Just shoot me a pm

okay I appreciate that advice. I was wondering where to look for the break. I did put in an accelerator pedal just to see if it made a difference and there was no change. I’ll look for the wire first man’s if that doesn’t work I’ll put the original throttle back on the car. Otherwise I will get a new ECU, but I’ll hope for the wire. LOL. Thanks for the offer on the parts. If I need some I’ll let you know.
