Quick question...for the clutch master cylinder, I assume you cannot cut the center hole and use the existing studs for mounting?

 

I have a template which I use to mark the holes in the firewall. I use a hole saw for the center hole and drill out for the mount bolts. I take a picture of the template when I in my shop tomorrow so to give you some idea as to what it looks like. I know one of the bolt holes lines up with one of the studs which is in the firewall. I drill straight through it.

 

could you send me how you modified the wiring for your vue I am at a loss, my vue vti / cvt transmission and out. I was doing the swap to the af23 5 speed auto trans out of an 04 ion.
I got the wire harness,
Torque converter,
New mounts ( trying to figure out front and back brackets)
Tcm and ecm from donor car.

Is there anyone who has done the wiring correctly? Because my ecm is different.

I have a 2004 Saturn Vue 4 cylinder on its 7th transmission automatic it will need to be replaced Don't want to spend a lot options ?? Manuel, Honda conversion, or Used or rebuilt I like the car and don't drive far.

 

You replaced the CVT with 6 rebuilt cvts?

 

You are much better off either junking the Vue or converting it to a manual 5 speed. The CVT transmissions in the Vues are pure junk.

Thanks! It has been a long time (years) since I did any manual conversions for anyone. I moved on to 2015 and up Mustang's.
