awd drag vue
hello everyone. i was wanting to know some things about the 2007 vue v6 awd. my grandpa has one but doesnt have the title so i thought he could drag race it. im wanting to know
1. how strong is the driveline (halfshafts, trannie, things like tha)
2. how much nos can the 3.5 v6 handle
3. how big of tires can i fit on it. it has to turn enough to get into the turnout and down the return road
4. any other things i should know about the vue
thanks for all future replies

Though I am sure it has been done, yours is our first request for dragability of a first generation Vue. Given the general boxinness of the vehicle, I would think it is about as aerodynamic as a huge recliner with sharp edges. The horsepower on that V6 is probably only in the 240 range give or take if that high. I don't believe it is full time all wheel drive so you will not get the benefits you would if it was.
Unfortunately you will need to search elsewhere for NOS, tire sizes, and general structural strength questions of the vehicle. We currently do not have a Vue guru on the board. Someone may be able to speak to the beefiness of the 3.5 V6 and or the transmission, but that person is most definitely not me.
Hopefully someone will chime in.

hes tried getting a title but someone gave him a 07 kia optima so he has no use for the car anymore. hopefully the motor can handle a 50hp of nos and the trans/diffs/axles can handle 400-450 hp on drag radials. im hoping theres about 600-750 pounds of weight savings in the interior. am i about right on the interior weight?

Probably wont be able to handle much more than a 50 or 75 wet shot. They also make supercharger kits for them.
The j35 was used in the pilot, odyssey, and 1 Acura (can't remember which model)
They also are not tunable. So you may wanna look at a age controller or standalone unit of some sort.
Also keep in mind that the h5 trans isn't the strongest. Driveshaft and rear end is fine. But the trans is glass. May want fresh fluid and a cooler with aux fan
