When driving a get a metal on metal scratching/crunching sound. It's not constant but it's fairly loud. The brakes are good, the wheel bearing feels tight, the dust shroud behind the rotor is not rubbing. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Is the sound coming from under the car, under the hood or what? Metal to metal to me sounds like the a/c clutch pulley. Have you checked that? And does it make that sound with or without the a/c on or off?
