Just picked this up a few weeks ago

Tranny sometimes sticks in first I can shut car off and turn back on and the car drive fine

the other issue is the manual shift does not work
was trying to get shift control off but unable to slide silver sleeve down -- is this the correct way?

from what I found there is suppose to be a screw on motor side of shifter but can not see one

guessing the silver/chrome sleeve under the shift **** is suppose to slide down to expose screw but not having any luck

any help!!

 

Owned a 2008 XR 3.6 for a bit, but never had reason to poke around there.

What codes come up from the OBD2 port?
