Default 2004 Vue pre-wired for fog lamps?

Dear Saturn enthusiasts:

I have a 2004 Vue 2.4L in Europe, which I cannot access, since I'm in the US.

My question... Were they prewired for fog lamps, or not? I'm looking to add to the existing cut-out and am wondering if the cable is already there to make it easier.

Thanks in advance!

In general, the earlier Saturn vehicles were not prewired for fog lamps, even though it might have mad financial sense in some situations -- or they did use the same harness and terminated the branch mid bundle.

But I will do some digging around and post what I find/don't find.

Doesn't seem like vthe 2003s erre prewired, so I doubt that the 2004 were. Think only the higher trim levels came w factory fogs. Otherwise no pre wiring and in some cases nowhere to put the switch.

Apparently the circuit is controlled by the BCM, which grounds the circuit when you send a request by hitting the fog button. It's a momentary contact switch, not a normal two position on off switch.

Since the factory fogs are controlled through the BCM, if the vehicle didn't come with factory fogs, the BCM programming to handle the switch request would not be present anyway. The wiring harness from the BCM also might not contain the fog wiring.

Most people will buy an aftermarket kit that fits. They come with a fuse, relay switch, etc.

Most of what I typed above is here

I just tried to condense it for you. Be sure to read it through to the end. Some interesting ideas

Some of the wiring might be there but like Derf said the BCM won’t be programed for them. I have installed factory fog lights on 2005 F350s, they are pretty much plug and play. You change the headlight switch and plug in the fog light harness and the lights. On A 2005 F550 I had to add wiring from the switch to the fuse panel and a relay. Then the the fog light harness would plug and play. The 550 was missing part of the wiring that came stock in the 350.
So you may find some of the wiring installed but not all and the bcm won’t now what to do with the switch command.
