2004 Saturn Vue
I have a 04 Vue and have replaced the drier and expansion valve tested compressor and it had suction. Put gas in and it will not cool. Low side shows 70lbs and doesn't change. Any help would be appreciated.
How did you test the compressor? Was it outside the system?
Did you pull a vacuum on the system before charging it with refrigerant?
Need high side and low side pressures to figure out what's going on. Could not diagnose with only the gauge on the low side that comes with the can.
Is the compressor pulley engaging when the AC is engaged inside the vehicle? If the low side pressure stays at 70 when you turn it on inside the car, I doubt the compressor is running.
Please advise.
Also please advise as to why you changed the TXV

I had the hoses loose and jumped the compressor. There was suction and discharge. Would only take one can after vacuuming to 30 inches of vacuum. Low side reading 70 and high side reading 100. When I opened the low side of the gauges the low side goes to 100 and equalizes with the pressure on the high side.
