2003 Saturn Vue 3.0L won't start and fuel gauge not working
Greetings,
New to the forum would appreciate any help. I have a 2003 Saturn Vue 3.0 that won't start. Engine turns, but does not seem to be getting any fuel. I originally thought it had a defective fuel pump but a local mechanic said that they can activate the fuel pump via their diagnostic machine and it does pump up to pressure. I have noticed that the fuel gauge is not reading any fuel although there is plenty of fuel in thank. I figure that may be a symptom of something pertaining to a circuit that is not allowing power to the fuel pump. The local mechanic is leaning toward it being a bad ECM, but didn't seem to be positive with that diagnosis. I am looking for any ideas to track this issue down. Thanks for any assistance !

Does it have the PASSLOCK gm security system and the security light either on its own or a lock icon on the dash? if so , what state are they in when at rest w key out, and what state when cranking engine?
Please no double posting. Thanks

I'm guessing it does have the GM pass lock system in some form. I did try the 30 min key reset procedure. However that didn't work, assuming I did it properly. I don't notice any telltale signs like a security indicator flashing when trying to start.
Thanks,

If you did not see the passlock indicator, then passlock is likely not the cause of the problem.
Check the BCM (body control module) fuses. There are 3 i think -- check in the instrument panel junction block and the underhood one too. Pull the fuses and check with an ohmmeter -- do not judge by sight. The gas gauge going dead (all gauges, actually) is common with BCM failures, but that is not the exclusive cause
