I have a 2002 Saturn Vue with the 3.0 l v6 awd automatic transmission a couple days ago I went to drive it and the problem is it drove fine until it warmed up then it was like it was in neutral it wouldn't go forward or backup I shut it off for a few minutes and started it again and it then went into reverse but it still wouldn't go into drive so I backed it back home after it sat for awhile I started it and drove it till it warmed up then it did the same thing what will cause this ? And how do I fix it?

 

Have you checked the transmission oil level? I am not sure if a Vue has a dipstick or not.

 

Yes I have checked the fluid level I did a fluid change so it has new fluid in it . Yes the 2002 has a dip stick

 

Can you check for codes with a code reader please.
