Default 07 Vue - Wont start after accident

I recently purchased an 07 Vue with 97,000 miles that had been in a right front accident. The damage was mostly cosmetic with damage to the bumper cover, light, and the radiator support was bent and needs to be straightened. There was no obvious damage to the engine. The only other thing I noticed is that the steering column will not lock even when the key is in the lock position. The ignition works and goes into all positions including start. The car will turn over fine but will not start. I know there is not an inertia switch on this car but I am wondering if the ignition switch problem could be related to security issue and not allowing the car to start. Any advise would be greatly appreciated

I don't know diddly squat about Vues, but would check the under hood fuse box and see if there's an IOD fuse. If so, check it. If not, then IDK.

What is the security light on the dash doing when you are cranking the vehicle?

I know you can't drive it, but have you been able to read the codes via the diag port?

Have you checked for fuel and spark under the hood?

The only code that appears is PO 113. There are no security lights displayed during any attempts to start.

That code of for the Air Intake Sensor. IDK if that would actually keep one from starting or not. Check the contacts on it and make sure they're not broken. Voltage on it should be 4.5 volts. If you're not getting proper voltage, check for broken or melted together wires on that harness.

The air intake was damaged in the accident and the connector was damaged and is not disconnected. I wonder if it would affect the starting of the vehicle, however?

If the 5 volt circuit was shorted to ground it might kill all 5 volt sensors and create a no start condition.

I have verified that there is fire and fuel. I removed the front three plugs and they appear severely worn but obviously the car was running prior to the accident so I am doubtful the plugs could be the issue. I have not been able to find any sensors that are compromised or grounded.

Those plugs look wet to me, but that may just be my eyesight. They look gas fouled. I'm thinking you have a timing issue. You need 4 things to start one. Spark, fuel, air and compression. The key is all 4 components have to be there at the right time. That's where the timing comes into play.
