06 Vue v6 trans upgrade?
Hello everyone! The transmission on my v6 awd Vue is on its last legs & i was wondering if a newer Honda H6 6 speed auto would be compatible? Any insight would be greatly appreciated 😁

Not a Vue expert by any means, but they stopped using honda engines and trannys in the 2nd gen vue starting in 2008.
I would be very surprised if any newer Honda stuff bolted in. But then again I don't know how Honda engineers it's stuff

Thanks derf
My 2006 has the Honda 3.5 V6 with the Honda H5 5 speed automatic & i had a co-worker tell me he thinks the newer Honda H6 6 speed automatic should fit with the 6 speed bell housing.... I'm just trying to see if anyone here has made a successful attempt at this upgrade. Need the info asap as our RAV4 was accordioned between a 4 runner & a semi 2 days ago 😢 & the Vue is our only means of transportation atm...

Try Saturnfans.com
And of course the internet at large
Saturn fans has 18, 000 million more active users and I do not believe anyone on our forum has tried such an upgrade.
Drop Dead may know if this is possible. A good transmission shop should also know. Not sure if a GM dealership would know as the part, the h6, never had a GM part number. A very experienced former Saturn Tech might know.
Actually, call your local Chevy dealer and ask them who they use for their transmission work. Explain the situation and I don't think they will give you a hassle. You need the answer to come from someone who works on these vehicles. Chevy dealers seem to take more pity on Saturn owners than the other divisions.
Please post back with your results. Very interesting question with a very valuable answer for others.

- Thank u very much for the offer dropdead but I'm in Indiana. I have my Vue at the shop right now hoping it's just the linkage or PCM/TCM or a solenoid or something Instead of having to replace the whole transmission. & I did find out that the 6 speed is feasible but it require a lot of extra BS... I'll copy & paste from somebody from here that u may or may be not recognize...lol

Since the 3.5 is actually a Honda engine as long as the 6 speed is off of a 3.5 it should bolt up. Not familiar with a H6. I have never done that swap as that model wasn't a very common failure model like the CVT's. With all you would have to swap I would recommend finding another 5 speed. Your talking engine wiring harness, PCM, possibly TCM if that is seperate from the PCM at a minimum. Possibly an engine cradle swap or at least mounts and maybe swap cv shafts.
Hope this helps.
