I cannot find anywhere an accurate depiction of my 2004 Vue 3.5l AWD engine/transmission. I need to replace the upper and lower transmission cooling lines. Easy right!? Well, where do I fill it and how much? There is no dipstick on this model, nor obvious fill location. I can get the hoses for $65/ea and then the fluid, easily enough accessible to hoses. Mechanic/shops wants to charge $750; nearly $400 just for the hoses. I need to do it myself.

Where do I fill the darn transmission fluid on this year and model? Photos are extremely helpful. Thanks.

 

They show the procedure for a 2004 Vue awd with a 3.5L engine not a 3.6. Are you sure what you have?
In the general section then the general tech help section. The third sticky will get you some service manual information. I just looked at the section and it described the oil type and capacity and how to check the level. There is a lot of information on this site just look around.
