If the wrong ECM was put on the 03 Vue, is there a way to find out what the correct one should be by the vin number? OR can I reset the current ECM to where it works, if so how and what can I do?

 

New car for you? Start? Need info.

 

My guess is that the vehicle was purchased with an ECM someone else had replaced, but they replaced it with either the wrong ECM physically or an ECM with incompatible programming even though it may have been from 03.

Am I close?

 

I don't like trying to figure these out. If they can't give basic info I rend to let them go.
