Default 2009 Red Line Saturn SKy

Car started making a clunking feel/noise while turning sharp say coming out of a parking spot. Had a friend ride with me and yes turning both ways and backing up. I normally don't turn that sharp often but just felt something off in front end while applying brakes. Had brakes checked and they are good it doesn't pull at all on braking alignment ok. Dealer is now saying not doing it think they are giving me the run around. Any suggestions for me to pass on

I am moving this to the tech spot, as you posted in the New Member section.

But to answer your question, did you check the suspension parts? Could be bad struts/mounts, end links, or tie rod ends. All those caused clunking noises in my car when they went bad.

Maybe a bumper stop has broken off? IDK. But I do agree with Billy that is sounds suspension related. Find an independent shop that looks busy. **** on the dealers.

Cool Clunking

Tell 'em you think it's your 4wheel drive!

When you say backing up and turning sharply. to you mean only as you approach or hit wheel lock or do you mean the noise only starts near wheel lock or does it start when you start turning the wheel and gets louder near wheel lock?

Does this happen in the forward direction as well?
Must your foot be on the brake for it to occur?
