2009 Saturn Vue Brake return springs?
We were provided with a rumor today stating that the brakes on Saturns are known to have weak return springs on their brake pedals.
This was discovered when having a mechanical auxillary brake system installed for it to be dingy towed. The brake pedal does not release w/o manual assistance so we were told the above rumor and to use a bungy cord attached to the steering wheel. I believe this to be unacceptable and find it hard to believe the springs are bad.
Any shared knowledge of such a problem would be appreciated. Thanks

I can't speak for the VUE, but my wife's 02 L200 has been 'flat-towed' almost from coast to coast behind our RV, and I do have a supplemental braking system installed. AT NO TIME, have I been troubled with a weak return spring on the brake pedal on this car.
