Default Wipers won't STOP

Hey guys,

My first time posting here, but I've been dealing with an issue for a couple months now and I'm starting to lose my mind.

I've got a '95 SL1, 4-door Sedan, 185K miles. It's a nice car, but the wipers are giving me hell.

My wipers stopped working about two months ago, so I chalked it up to a burned-out wiper motor. Figuring it was an easy-enough job for an amateur, I decided to replace it myself, so I bought a new motor on eBay and dove into my dashboard to replace it. 8 hours later, I had it in there, and lo and behold --

The wipers wouldn't STOP now. The second I put the key in, and the accessories start drawing power, the wipers started moving, full-speed. In other words, the motor was simply turning, without going into 'park' or pausing at all. Nothing on the switch seemed to affect them -- though putting it in "High" would just make the wipers move even faster, and the washer controls seemed to be normal. Eventually I had to take the fuse out, and keep it within arm's reach so I could put it in whenever I needed to wipe my windshield.

Now, I started to suspect the column switch was the problem, but then the guy at Napa told me it was probably a defective replacement motor. I emailed the eBay vendor, and lo and behold --

The entire stock of those motors were defective. So they offered me a full refund, and I bought a new motor from Napa and installed THAT, which seemed to fix the problem. The motor was pausing. I could control the speed. It would turn off when I turned the switch to 'Off'. Everything was beautiful.

Then, when I was putting the wiper arms back on, one of them snapped in two. Ugh. On my way to the junkyard today, the wipers were working fine, then they started to move twice. Then three times. Then four times. Then once. Then, when I started the car back up, the same issue -- the wipers won't stop, no matter how much I wiggle the switch. In order to get them to park, I basically have to turn the key off at the exact moment they hit the bottom of the windshield.

Now this can't POSSIBLY be another defective motor, right? Is this a defective switch? Would that be causing this problem?

Thanks, guys, for your help.
