the codes for odbI can be read using a paperclip -- search "paper clip" or similar on the forum. It's all there.

Have you confirmed spark at the plugs?
Have you confirmed fuel pressure at the rail under the hood?

I have confirmed, there is NO spark at the plugs. Have not checked fuel pressure... Going to get a gauge today. Paper clip.... Looking up.
Thank you.

WICKED!!! Paper clip method is AWESOME! hahaha... I guess i got a code 33.. Again, it does not spark. I purchased 2 new coil packs. It still didn't spark. (did that yesterday). So i took them back and got my 80 dollar back. Code 33, also the key was just in the "ON" positon.. Readings should still turn out correct?

33 is map sensor out of range (high)
This should have no bearing on spark though (*someone chime in if I'm wrong)

Might be crank position sensor, which, if not working, inhibits spark. You can test that with an ohmmeter --700-900 ohms is typical. 0 or open is not. They can flake intermittently but yours if defective is likely sending no signal.

Other causes could be the dis module that sits under the coils.

OR it could be wiring knocked loose during the collision since my suggestions of failed components have no connection to a car that had no front end damage. I doubt the shock of the impact would wreck either of these parts but who knows

and I'm not a fan of changing parts ***** nilly

My eyes decieve me! It's actually a code 12! My friend took a look at the paper clip method when we got back with the map sensor from autozone, he looked at it and he said that's a code 12... Because it's one blink... Then 2 more... Then a longer pause... Then repeats... So... That means nothings recorded in memory... Now what... Where is crank sensor at? I am checking spark again.

view BOTH of these

(testing for spark across the coils)

(replacing the CPS)

you do not need to remove the starter

edit: wow never embedded videos before....

Good videos. I tested, there is spark! Wonder what I did wrong. It Sparks... But still will not start. Fuel pressure test next I guess. After that, then what? I do hear for sure the fuel pump. What else could be the colprut?

One simple question goes without an answer, yet the OP wants help from members.

Has the car started since the wreck?
